A Note from Dan

Prior to your adventure into the field, it is imperative that you ensure the best methods to properly skin your Game animal to avoid spoiling, hair slippage, unforeseen repairs, and also additional charges by your Taxidermist. Tubing the neck to the base of the skull will ensure you will not have imperfections that might otherwise be a problem when the mounting process begins. The additional time, if any, to correctly Tube the cape vs. slicing down the back of the neck is not enough of a difference, and you will most assuredly be rewarded with the end result. Below is a quick guide you can print off and take with you into the field.
